"SENIOR MOMENT"

THOUGHTS TO PONDER

When we look at these photos appear before us; isn't it amazing to see such innocence in those faces???  Why not?  The biggest decision we had to decide in those days was:  "Do I want to continue my education further or look for a job instead?" And in some cases; "get married right away or wait a couple of years?" Some were plagued with the idea of fighting a war that one didn't really want to be a part of; but really didn't have a choice.
When faced with a choice of enlisting or being draft; one had to decide, didn't he?
And as for being the graduating seniors we were; we thought we knew it all, didn't we?  And like most of us; we can laugh at that thought now because we found out we still had a lot to learn about ourselves as well as being outside in the world on our own; without looking to our parents for guidance or supervision.  We were ready to go out independently to live our lives as we saw fit.  So much for rules or regulations anymore!  Nmore curfews or restrictions!
(I don't  know about you; but at least, that's the way I saw it !)
*************************
We've all changed a lot and learned more about ourselves since leaving CGCHS.
To stop learning; means you stop growing as a person and I for one; I still continue to learn something new all the time and I hope I don't stop until I draw my last breath . . .
Boy, we've come a long ways haven't we?

*************************
We're sure you're thinking the same thoughts we are;
Where did the years go and how fast they've past us by since we all graduated nearly 40 years ago?!?!?
The rest of us took off running to find our way in the world, and not looking back. I'm sure most of you will agree with me that when we walked out that door at CGCHS for the last time as students; we would all be jolted by the reality of just how small our world was before graduation.
(probably our minds, too)!
*************************

"Our Friends Are A Very Important Part Of Our Lives.
Treasure The Tears, Treasure The Laughter,
But Most Importantly, Treasure The Memories."

You are truly blessed to have those friendships still . . .

*************************
Now 40 years later; we all have the opportunity to reunite again with the rest of the class and now the opportunity has presented itself.
Who knows, maybe new friendships may be forged.
*************************
Also, along the way; we were sad to learn that some of our alumni are no longer with us.  Just as the jolt we felt when we learned of their passing; just how fleeting life really is!
All the more reason we should gather again.  It's been way too long!
All we know is that, time is shorter than one thinks and some of us may not get another chance to reunite like this.  So; until we join the "MEMORY LIST" we should take advantage of the opportunity when it presents itself.

And yes, at this stage of our lives; we will soon embark on another thresh hold; another type of "SENIOR MOMENT" where 40 years later; from all walks of life we will be able to come together once again and remember those carefree days of our past  . . . .

Regardless, we hope that life has been good to you!

Hope to see you in August for our 40 year Class Reunion!
