I wanted to let you know, and you can post this as well, that Keith passed away at 8:03 this evening, Wednesday June 17. He died in his sleep at the Hospice for Northeastern Illinois in Woodstock. Arrangements are still pending at this time, but a education fund in Keith's name has been opened at Golden Eagle Community Bank in Woodstock to help with Kaitlyn's schooling.

CARY - Keith R. Langhamer, 57, of Cary, died Thursday, June 17, 2009, at Hospice of Northeastern Illinois Inpatient Unit in Woodstock, surrounded by family.
He was born Sept. 20, 1951, in Evergreen Park, to Robert and Katherine (Kasan) Langhamer, who survive and reside in Cary.
He spent his first 10 years in Chicago. He then moved with his family to Cary, where he completed his elementary and high school education. He was employed by WM Plastics of McHenry, as well as Il & Janimal's Porten Road Pub, Island Lake.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. Nascar racing and the Chicago White Sox were a source of enjoyment for him. He delighted in meeting people and sharing stories. He had a great sense of humor and appreciated that laughter made a difference in his life. He will be missed greatly by family, friends, and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Amy (Taylor) Langhamer, whom he married Oct. 29, 1988, in Cary; a daughter, Kaitlyn Langhamer; two sisters, Renee (Darren) Jones and Cathy (Tim) Porter; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 26, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary. A life celebration will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Oberhiede's Bar, East Main and Russell streets, Cary.
